A Class 2 student died after collapsing inside her classroom at Divine Public School in Balrampur, Uttar Pradesh, while a religious procession was passing by the school. The incident took place during school hours when a DJ was playing music as the procession passed by. Students were seen looking outside the classroom window as the music played. The student was seen laughing in her classroom before she appeared to fall and lose consciousness. A student seated behind her lifted her head and she regained consciousness. She later appeared to place her head on the table while the teacher looked over students in another row. Moments later she slumped into her seat and died. Her family alleged that the loud music and vibrations from the procession caused her distress and led to multiple cardiac arrests. The claim about the cause of her death had not been medically confirmed. School administrator Ashish Upadhyay confirmed the incident. Police were investigating the case to establish the exact cause of the student's death. The incident has led to an investigation into what happened inside the classroom while the religious procession was passing by the school.
