At least 77 pilgrims from the Isha Foundation’s Kailash pilgrimage group were reported missing after a flash flood hit Gyirong near the Nepal-Tibet border. The group was returning from the Mount Kailash pilgrimage when it stopped at an immigration centre in Gyirong to complete border formalities. Floodwaters then swept through the centre and parts of the town, according to Sadhguru and the Isha Foundation. The Isha Foundation said the 77 pilgrims were at the immigration centre when the flood struck. Their whereabouts had not been officially confirmed at the time of the reports. Sadhguru said he and his team had sought permission to reach the affected area and assist authorities with rescue efforts.
