A woman allegedly stole a box containing 25 gold rings from a jewellery store in Jaipur’s Bhawani Jewellers, according to reports.
The woman reportedly entered the shop posing as a customer and told an employee, Trilok Chand Prajapat, that she would call her father to make the payment online.
When Prajapat turned towards another customer, she allegedly picked up the box and ran from the store. Employees chased her for around 500 metres before Prajapat caught her.
The rings were reportedly worth around Rs. 20 lakh. According to the jeweller, another person had accompanied the woman but fled during the chase.
The jeweller approached police, but reports said no FIR was registered after an agreement was reached with the woman.
The woman allegedly told the jeweller that she wanted to go to jail.
