New Zealand MP says "Ok boomer" during Parliament speech about climate emergency

"Ok boomer!" That was the biting response of Chlöe Swarbrick, 25, who was interrupted by an older member of New Zealand Parliament as she was giving a speech about climate emergency.

Can we get posts that are actually related with nature?

Climate change is completely natural. Nothing anyone could possibly do to stop it. The last ice age was a result of global warming and the next one is coming regardless of what we do about it. We’d be better off spending our time efforts preparing for it than trying to stop it. All this worry and anxiety that it’s all our fault and fighting about it is complete insanity. Like it or not it’s coming, so quit pointing fingers like it’s the fault of the previous generation and start using your time and technology to prepare for your survival.

Lol when you are still trying to push 40 yr old scare tactics and of course try to silence anyone who disagrees as if that is “progressive.” No, sweetheart you are as backward as the Mayans sacrificing people to the sun for good weather lol you are as boomer as it gets, and that phrase is beyond out, it’s like 6 mos ago.

Being dismissive of, while simultaneously stereotyping, another human is now a good thing? Accolades for rudeness? Ok millennial..we see you. If she's a politician then she has a long road ahead of ditching her constituents. Luck with that.

Don't blame climate change on boomers. We used to buy milk, beer, vegetable oil, and soft drinks to name a few in glass bottles. We didn't use single use plastic bags to transport produce.

“Change is SO regularly traded for power... climate change is a DEEPLY inconvenient truth.” Could not have said it better.

I like what she's doing, but its a stupid response. The problems are not generational. And if your going to point fingers, then you need to point them at "the greatest generation" and on. But the problem stems from greed of power, money, and so on. And as long as there's people, that's going to be a problem. Also, I'm pretty sure the boomers are the ones who started the no nukes, the organic foods and back to the land movements, and advancing solar and wind energy. And so on. Boomers were the first ones to inform me about all that stuff.
