This bird went extinct and came back to life thousands of years after

Extinct 136,000 years ago, this bird came back through a process called "iterative evolution". Here is the intriguing story of the Cuvier's rail.

If this is true, it suggests that evolution follows a restricted path, limited and pre-determined. Survival is the ultimate reason to evolve yet it did not happen on the two occasions of evolution where the subject went extinct.

😄😄😄 oh really..... How they know it's the same bird which got extinct. Once someone said same thing about some species when they discovered Galapagos island but it has been proven that those species never gone extinct but they made adaptation in their lifestyle and behavior according to the land. But When Darwin found them he called it evolution......... This bird too may have adapt itself to some other environment and had moved to secondary location from primary. So there was no birds in the primary but found in the secondary. We all know how birds change their places based on climate change. So don't make announcement on loudspeakers without proper investigation.

With unabated climate change, the seas will rise to eliminate these birds again!
