Tourists captured footage of the first-ever coyote spotted near Alcatraz. The animal was seen swimming to the island on Sunday morning. When park officials arrived, they were unable to locate the coyote. The captain of a tourist cruise stated that the coyote may have been swept away by intense currents. It remains unclear where the coyote was swimming from, but authorities believe it likely came from San Francisco, which is approximately 1.25 miles away.
