6 Red Ruffed Lemurs died in a devastating fire at a Florida zoo.
Six Red Ruffed Lemurs died after a massive fire broke out at ZooWorld in Panama City Beach, Florida.
Officials have determined that the fire resulted from an electrical issue that was not caused by human error.
Many animals were able to be saved from the incident, and two other lemurs were transported to an animal hospital for treatment. The deceased lemurs were identified as Pluto, Mars, Saturn, Jupiter, Neptune and Mercury.
"This was a disaster and it is beyond sad. We feel every bit of that to our bones but will honor our lemurs and this park by pushing forward and rebuilding out of the rubble something that everyone will be proud of," the Zoo's Director said in a statement.
