How would the Earth look like if all the ice melted?

Sunken cities, deserted areas, fish taking over whole countries ... This is what the Earth could look like if all the ice melted. 😱

The ice is not sitting on a land mass waiting to melt INTO the ocean. The ice is already part of the oceans volume. Now look on Google Earth at what %age of the oceans volume is ice. It's pretty small. Even if it was completely solid to the ocean floor -which it isn't - it's a fraction of the oceans volume. Now, fill a jug as much as you can with ice and pour water to 1cm below the rim. Mark the level with a Sharpie. Leave the ice to completely melt. The volume of the water will not rise above the mark you made. Why? Because the ice was already part of the waters total volume.

It's not a matter of if but when. Us humans are distroying the planet with the all too real global warming

Rubbish, you'd be lucky if you get 30 - 50cm of SLR with the current land locked ice we have now. The majority of the rise is already in the water now since the last ice age. 🙄🥱

even if you believe a sea level rise of 65 meters, some of the things they claim will be submerged are actually more than 65 meters above sea level. So why do they need to lie and exaggerate?

    It's coming to this

You can’t isolate the volume like that. As the ice melts, the same heat that it took to make the ice melt will send huge amounts of that moisture into the air. Basically turning the Nile region and much of the Sahara verse to again. None of this happens isolated from other effects.

It will not be 65 metres, you lose coast line but gain two continents.

Just scaremongering- ocean has risen less than I centimetre in the past 200 years - follow the real science not the fake political science that has a money based agenda

If the arctic melted it won’t raise the sea level at all because it’s already displacing the sea.

But the ice is not melting. Both the Artic and Antarctica have growing ice sheets.

    It wouldn't rise that much.

When ice melts the water is lowered

They have claiming Oceania would be under water in 10 years for 20 years.

Can’t hardly wait! Hopefully all you shit for brains move to the coast, we need a little more water!
