Neowise, the brightest comet observed in the last 20 years

It's been visible in the evening sky since the beginning of July, and it won't be back for 6,800 years. This is Neowise, the brightest comet to be observed in the last 20 years.

I saw it chasing the horizon, from the window of my flat (which I think I half climbed out of & grabbed on to, in the middle of the night), smaller than I expected, a sharp point of light, a tiny white iris, no arching trail, it's tail was visible though, like a flickering tongue, cellophane, seaweed, red.

McNaught was fairly epic, didn't get this one down south so hard to compare.
