well as far as i know, when they catch these monsters, they call in an arborist, after having it scientifically cut up,being observed by a marine biologist, the arborist confirms it has no rings to age it by ,so concluding it is not a tree fish, then the marine biologist confirms that it is a fish nonetheless ,the arborist agrees without incident, then it is cut into small rings, roll mops i believe, soaked in a formalahyde solution and sent to the smithsonian institute of natural lies..thus confirming if you can deceive people just a little, when another unproven fact pops its head out of the water, everyone will swallow the story😂😂😂

It was 512 years old on 12/13/2017, and on 4/11/2019 it was still 512 years old. No wonder it lived so long! It's a really slow ager! :-)

Eye tissue? So you hurt it or killed it to find out when it died. You’ll never know how old it is. Why even bother? Leave them alone.
