    I can see this, I can see consumerism, I can see tones of waste (energy, wrapping paper, boxes, food that is made for an army then thrown away, fuel...and the list goes on)...but if you dare to mention it to any one, you are tagged a Grinch or Scrooge ... society likes to live in a state of oblivion and avoid taking responsibility.

    Doesn't have to be. Don't buy useless tat, shop locally or smartly, use recyclable wrapping, don't use fake trees, travel.by coach, skip the imported alcohol, eat proper food.

    It sure is. 100%. Ban it all. Let’s not forget how many factory workers in China develop cancer and other serious life-threatening illnesses from making and decorating all of those tacky, cheap Xmas decorations (the red paint and glitter alone is what’s killing people and the environment).
