Indian Temples Are Going Green

Flowers used in religious rituals pollute Indian cities and rivers once they're thrown away. These New Delhi temples are using them to nourish new plants instead.

I have received packets of incense which have been made from these dried flowers and all the seeds are embedded in paper which can be sown. Very innovative

Withered flowers will not pollute.May be plastic threads and other items attached to the flowers may pollute.

They want common people to do the needful while large industries are continuously throwing waste in the rivers. Flowers, fruits, ashes, etc are biodegradable but industrial waste is not but is toxic and sometimes radioactive- Environmental science 101.
