A car exploded while it was being refuelled with CNG at a station in Karjan, Vadodara district, Gujarat, on 1 October. The incident took place at a CNG station on National Highway-48, opposite Jindal Company. The explosion occurred while CNG was being filled into the car. The blast caused parts of the vehicle’s rear body and broken glass to fly several metres from the car. Two other vehicles parked near the car were also damaged, according to the Times of India report. No one was inside the car when the explosion occurred. No casualties were reported in the incident. The exact cause of the explosion has not yet been determined. According to the information provided in the report, the car’s gas tank reportedly burst during the CNG filling process. The Karjan fire team and police reached the CNG station after the incident and took safety measures.
