I started doing modelling at the age of 13 not by my own will. I was told to gain weight, then lose weight, change my hair color and so on. I was pressured to do what my agent told or she would manipulate by saying my parents will have to pay for my flight tickets if I won't do so. I was told several times to get breast implants which I never did. She "recommended" to sleep with photographers and other influencial people to gain something in return. I was very sick of this industry, I hated it to the core and very happy I don't have to do it ever again.

I don't want to see fat people in ads. If u can't be thin, don't be a model then.

Things need to change in order to ethically look after the models, mentally and physically. Nutritionists, dietitians and psychologists on hand maybe.

Brave for speaking out but you keep doing it for the not that much pity for y'all. Are you speaking out after your career is over and you have made other women and young girls feel bad because they compare themselves to you?

Well… they CHOSE modeling. It’s widely known what goes on in the industry, and if you don’t know you should be doing your research if that’s what you want to do. Don’t complain now that your feelings are hurting.

Did you not know there were drawbacks on chasing fame and fortune based on no skill set but 100% your looks?

It would be great if the fashion industry and clothing designers actually had enough talent to create clothing for real people and all body types. Their excuse for requiring thin models is usually, “The clothes look better on that body type”. STEP 👏🏻 UP 👏🏻 Your 👏🏻 Game 👏🏻

Ugh hate to sound like this person but I mean this isn’t anything new at all. Like at all. If we’d all say screw the industry then they’d have to change. Or even better no more industry. And I mean you have to expect this going into it.

I can commiserate with these girls to a certain extent. I spent years fighting to keep weight on. I graduated from high school at 96 pounds and 5'4". After having 4 kids and being in my late 40s, I still struggled to keep the weight on. I was 103 pounds at my heaviest...then I quit smoking, gave up coffee, and hit menopause at 51. I gained almost 40 pounds in 6 months. It's taken almost 2 years to realize that that extra weight actually looks good on me and puts me where I should be. I felt obese for a long time and it finally clicked that a size 7 or 8 is not huge but is normal. 4 percent body fat and a size zero that barely stayed on my body was not healthy.

Were they really surprised that an industry as superficial as modelling wouldn’t judge them on their looks,I mean it’s like somebody in medicine being judged for being stupid, isn’t that like your job to look pretty? The harrassment & abuse is wrong but how do you sign up for something based on how you look & then hate it?
