Vladimir Putin Arrives In India For 2026 BRICS Summit, Set To Meet PM Modi
Russian President Vladimir Putin landed in New Delhi on 11 September for a three-day visit, during which he is set to attend the 18th BRICS Summit and hold bilateral talks with PM Narendra Modi.
This marks Putin’s first in-person attendance at a BRICS summit outside Russia since the Russia-Ukraine war began in February 2022.
Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Putin are set to meet at 3:30 pm on 11 September, with discussions regarding defence, energy, technology, pharmaceuticals and people-to-people ties, along with ways to boost trade and investment.
